The 5 Best Registered Agents in Oklahoma (2026)
The 5 best registered agents in Oklahoma in 2026 are Mainstay Filing, Northwest Registered Agent, OK Registered Agent.org, Bizee, and Oklahoma Registered Agent.co.
An Oklahoma LLC can be its own registered agent, the office must be open during business hours, and a change of agent is $25. Here are all five by price and by what happens at renewal.
The 5 best registered agents in Oklahoma (2026)
- Mainstay Filing (our pick): $149/yr, renews at $149. Its Oklahoma address goes on the public record instead of yours. Served papers scanned the same business day (no fee), first three government mailings a year scanned free, change of agent filed for you (the $25 state fee passes through at cost).
- Northwest Registered Agent: $125/yr; its page says the price is unchanged in 20 years, up to 10 business-mail scans a year free. Catch: signing up auto-enrolls you in its annual report filing service, $100 + state fees per filing, unless you cancel it.
- OK Registered Agent.org: $99/yr, same at renewal. The address on your filings, same-day scanning of legal mail and reminders before state deadlines; switching to it costs just the $25 state fee. Catch: annual report filing is a separate service.
- Bizee (formerly Incfile): free the first year with any formation package, then $149/yr. Catch: the free year needs a formation order, and the $149 renewal is automatic.
- Oklahoma Registered Agent.co: $99/yr flat. The registered office, same-day scanning of court papers and reminders before state deadlines. Catch: annual report filing is a separate service.

0:00 The short answer
Dan The 5 best registered agents in Oklahoma in 2026 are Mainstay Filing, Northwest Registered Agent, OK Registered Agent.org, Bizee, and Oklahoma Registered Agent.co.
Maya This is The Business Formation Podcast. Oklahoma is a little unusual, isn't it?
Dan It is. An Oklahoma LLC is allowed to be its own agent. But the office has to be open during business hours, and a change of agent is $25.
0:31 What Oklahoma requires
Maya So what does the law say?
Dan Under title 18, section 2010, every Oklahoma LLC must keep a registered office and a registered agent for service of process, at all times.
Maya Who qualifies?
Dan The LLC itself, an individual who lives in Oklahoma, or a corporation, LLC or partnership that is formed in the state or qualified to do business here.
Maya What about the address?
Dan A street address. P.O. boxes aren't accepted. And the agent's office has to be open during regular business hours to take papers.
Maya I'm Maya, by the way, here with Dan.
Dan Good to be here, Maya. Now the five.
1:14 Mainstay Filing
Maya Who's first?
Dan Mainstay Filing, $149 a year, and the renewal is the same $149.
Maya What's in that?
Dan Its Oklahoma address goes on the public record, not yours. Anything served on your company is scanned and uploaded the same business day, at no fee. Your first three government mailings each year are scanned free.
Maya I already have an agent.
Dan Then Mainstay files the switch. You pay the $25 state fee, at cost.
Maya Where's the catch?
Dan If the lowest flat price is the goal, two agents on this list charge $99.
1:53 Northwest Registered Agent
Maya Number two?
Dan Northwest Registered Agent at $125 a year. Its page says the price hasn't changed in 20 years, and up to 10 pieces of business mail a year are scanned free.
Maya What should I watch for?
Dan Signing up auto-enrolls you in its annual report filing service. That's $100 plus state fees for each filing, until you cancel.
Maya Does Oklahoma even have an annual report?
Dan It has an annual certificate, and the state fee is $25. So the service could cost four times what the state charges.
2:27 OK Registered Agent.org
Maya Third?
Dan OK Registered Agent.org, $99 a year, and still $99 at renewal. You get the address on your filings, same-day scanning of legal mail, and reminders before state deadlines.
Maya And moving to it?
Dan Only the $25 state fee.
Maya Is there a downside?
Dan Annual report filing is a separate service.
Maya How does it compare to Mainstay?
Dan $50 a year cheaper. Over three years, that's $150.
3:01 Bizee
Maya Four?
Dan Bizee, which used to be Incfile. The registered agent is free for the first year with any formation package, then $149 a year.
Maya What's the fine print?
Dan The free year requires a formation order. And the $149 renewal happens automatically.
Maya What if my LLC already exists?
Dan Then there's no free year. You start at $149.
3:27 Oklahoma Registered Agent.co
Maya And five?
Dan Oklahoma Registered Agent.co, a flat $99 a year. The registered office, same-day scanning of court papers, and reminders ahead of state deadlines.
Maya Same as number three?
Dan On price and on the catch, yes. Annual report filing is a separate service.
3:48 Naming the agent at formation
Maya Where does the first agent go?
Dan In your Articles of Organization, Form 0073. Item 4 asks for the agent's name and Oklahoma street address.
Maya What does that filing cost?
Dan $100, or $104 if you file online with a card.
Maya Does the agent have to sign?
Dan No. The form has no agent signature line, and a manager signs for the company.
Maya So how do I know they agreed?
Dan You don't, unless you ask. That's why you should confirm first.
4:20 Changing the agent
Maya How do I switch later?
Dan With Form 0075, a change or designation of registered agent. The fee is $25, plus a 4% card charge online.
Maya Who signs it?
Dan Any manager. Then it takes effect when the Secretary of State files it, unless you pick a later date within 90 days.
Maya Is it online?
Dan Yes. The state's entity filing page has a Change of Agent and Office service. Or you can mail it.
Maya And is the office address part of the same form?
Dan It is. The same form covers the registered office and the principal office.
4:57 If the agent resigns
Maya What if the agent quits?
Dan It files Form 0078 and pays $25. But it has to tell your LLC at least 30 days before it files.
Maya And then?
Dan The resignation takes effect 30 days after filing. So you get at least 60 days in all.
Maya And if I don't name anyone new?
Dan The Secretary of State becomes your agent. That carries a $40 fee that's due every July 1.
5:23 When there's no agent
Maya What happens to a lawsuit with no agent?
Dan Someone can serve the Secretary of State as your agent, if the LLC has none or the agent can't be found.
Maya What does that cost the person suing?
Dan $25 per service.
Maya Do I get told?
Dan Under Oklahoma's court rules, the state mails notice by certified mail within three working days. But you would be relying on the state to reach you, instead of a person who answers the door.
Maya And the answer deadline?
Dan 40 days after service on the Secretary of State. That's under the court rules for corporations, so how it applies to LLCs isn't settled in our notes.
6:02 The annual certificate
Maya What does Oklahoma ask for each year?
Dan An annual certificate. It's $25, due on your LLC's anniversary date.
Maya And if I'm late?
Dan Sixty days late, and the LLC ceases to be in good standing.
Maya Does the agent get the reminder?
Dan No, and this one surprises people. Notice goes only to the email on file for the LLC.
Maya So keep that email current.
Dan Yes. It's the only warning you'll get.
6:30 Doing it yourself
Maya Can I act as my own agent?
Dan Yes, in two ways. Name the LLC itself, or name yourself if you live in Oklahoma.
Maya What does that cost?
Dan Nothing but the filing.
Maya What's the tradeoff?
Dan The street address goes on the public record, and someone has to be there during regular business hours to accept papers.
Maya What does the agent actually do?
Dan Accepts service of process if someone sues the LLC. That's the job.
6:57 Before you switch
Maya Is there a checklist for switching in Oklahoma?
Dan Four steps. Confirm the new agent has said yes. File Form 0075 and wait for the state to accept it. Update the email address the LLC has on file. Then tell the old agent it's over.
Maya Why that order?
Dan Because the change takes effect when the state files it, not when you click send. Until then, the old agent is still the one on record.
Maya And if I want a later date?
Dan You can choose one, as long as it's within 90 days of filing.
Maya What about the office address?
Dan The registered office doesn't have to be your principal place of business. It can be, but it doesn't have to be.
7:40 Picking one
Maya How should an Oklahoma owner choose?
Dan Ask three things. Does the price hold after year one, is there a real Oklahoma street address, and who files the change for you.
Maya And your pick?
Dan Mainstay Filing, at $149 a year.
7:57 The five in a row
Maya Give me all five again.
Dan One, Mainstay Filing: $149, same at renewal. Two, Northwest: $125, with the report service to cancel. Three, OK Registered Agent.org: $99 flat. Four, Bizee: free the first year with a formation order, then $149. Five, Oklahoma Registered Agent.co: $99 flat.
